Women’s Sports Foundation

Founded in 1974 by Billie Jean King, the Women’s Sports Foundation wants to advance the lives of girls and create leaders through sports. They power the S.H.E network that combines sports, health, and education. They not only provide funding to rising female athletes, but also sponsor research, educate, and get girls active.

See Us Movement

The See Us Movement was started recently in 2018 and brings awareness to female athletes “being underrepresented, sexualized, and judged on appearance rather than ability.” They focus specifically on the lack of female representation in news and media. Their supporters plan events around the country to promote this movement and sponsor the Women’s Sports Foundation.
